Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better. ~ Samuel Beckett
Progress is hard. There is no question about it. But one thing you have to do when you set out to attain a goal, whether it is a business or personal endeavor, is decide to move forward no matter what.
Something I have learned as I have grown as a dreamer and aspiring entrepreneur, is that not all tactics work, AND not all tactics work for everybody. There have been a number of times that I have followed someone else’s blueprint for success to the letter with less than positive results.
I’ll be honest; more often than not my result looked nothing like what if should have according to the author, resource, or mentor of whatever guide I was using at the time. But what did work for me, was to take a true inventory of the steps I took in a process, gauge what I excelled at as well as what I absolutely failed at.
That’s right, I said it. I took an honest inventory and identified what I simply wasn’t good at or outright couldn’t do. And the process overall was very telling, but the purpose of this exercise was not to compile a list of things to kick myself about. It was quite the opposite.

Know when to quit – You read right. If something isn’t working or is not garnering the progress/ momentum that is needed to move you closer to your goal, then stop doing it. The worst thing you can do is waste time. But if you have
Know when to outsource – There is no shame in saying I cannot do it all. Utilizing the skills and resources of others does not make you less of an entrepreneur or deem you less successful than someone who is more proficient in the task you are outsourcing.
